Seasonal fish include Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin, Walu and Wahoo. Whether trolling, damishi, jigging or popping, our boat and knowledgeable guide are prepared to take you to all the best spots. Sign up at the boatshed for our daily scheduled slot or inquire in the office for a special-chartered excursion. We have basic gear and tackle, however if you are a fishing enthusiast - we recommend bringing your preferred rigging.

Come explore this pristine reef just a few yards off the beach in just 4-8 feet of crystal clear blue water. We supply snorkelling equipment so you don’t need to bring a thing! If you’re after something deeper, there are over 30 excellent SCUBA and SNUBA dive sites in close proximity to Tavarua Island Resort. Please inquire with our office as we engage a third party dive company to organize these experiences. If you’re already open water certified don’t forget your PADI or SSI card.

Do you provide snorkel gear?

ANSWER:

We have a selection of masks/snorkels and fins to use during your stay. If you are a serious enthusiast, we recommend you bring your personal gear.

Do you provide surfboards?

ANSWER:

We provide a selection of soft tops available at a first come, first serve basis. We also have a small lineup of SUPs and Kayaks as well. It's advised to bring your own quiver if you're after something more serious than a soft top.

How do I arrange for a snorkel boat?

ANSWER:

Please inquire with the boat shed and/or front office to organize a snorkel boat if you have 3 or more people. Snorkel boats most commonly go to Namotu or the Sand Bar.

What's the surf boat schedule?

ANSWER:

There are 4 scheduled surf boats a day - 1st is at sunrise (between 5:30-6am), 2nd is at 9:30am, 3rd is at 1pm and 4th is at 3:30pm. If guests would like to organize an additional boat at a different time to a different surf break, you can inquire with the boys at the boat shed to schedule. A minimum of 5 people is suggested.
